THE BOAT REEL TIME is a purpose built sport fishing boat. It is fully equipped with Penn International reels and has light tackle gear on board as well. REEL TIME has a full range of electronics, radios, safety gear and a flush toilet. Light Refreshments are included.

THE SKIPPER Owner/Skipper Wayne Barclay is originally from Auckland, New Zealand and has been charter fishing off Rarotonga since 1987. He is a member of the Cook Islands Game Fishing Club, was a committee member for 10 years, and President of the club for 2 years. He is a member of the International Game Fishing Association (IGFA) and is the IGFA representative for the Cook Islands.

THE FISH

The Marlin season is from late November to end of March, however we do catch some outside of these months. Blue marlin are the most common but striped and black are also here. The main season for Mahi Mahi (ma'i ma'i) is August to February. Mahi mahi is the acrobat of the ocean - once hooked they will leap from the water in a spectacular display of somersaults and changing colours. They travel in small schools often resulting in multiple hook ups. An average mahi is around 16kg but they can reach 30kg. Wahoo season is from mid June to mid October. An average wahoo is around 20kg, but they can get up to 40-50kg. They are the fastest fish in the ocean reaching speeds of up to 80kph. Double strikes are common. A few times we have had five on at once! TUNA can generally be caught year round.
